Published by the Daily Chronicle. The seventeen Volumes of the Photographic Record of the Great War were bought at a market stall in Hull in the 1960's. My interest in the Great War 1914-1918 arose through my maternal grandfather Samuel David Frith who was killed in action on the 3rd of May 1917 in the battle of Oppy Wood, France.
